Customer Reviews

Awesome experience with both their physio and massage therapist. I was able to come in right away after a sudden pain, and then they adapted to my schedule for the next following weeks to give me the best care. It was also extremely convenient as they had everything linked to my insurance provider.

I highly recommend the services offered by the team at Trilogy Physiotherapy. Jason helped me through an old knee injury I had a few years back and was able to uncover the root cause through his thorough assessment. My knee pain eventually went away which seemed impossible to me at the time.

Scott Tate

Scott Tate is a coach based out of Toronto and Chatham-Kent, Ontario (or really everywhere, thanks to Zoom and the Internet). He works with a fantastic mix of clients from 80-year-olds with autoimmune disorders, 70 year-olds with Parkinson’s Disease all the way to 17 and 47-year-olds that want to perform at their best.

Scott’s most successful clients know their body is capable of doing more but they’ve come up against roadblocks. Now, instead of beating themselves up, they want to understand things.

No matter who you are, what you do, or your goals, He has an unwavering faith that your body will surprise you. Scott practice with a mix of this fascination and a grounding in simple and tested training principles that are applied to everyone he work with from 1:1 sessions to custom plan design and our self-study programs. Most importantly, He don’t work alone when it comes to making your plan. Dr. Erin TeWinkel (ND) and Jaime Glassman (R.Kin) are pivotal members of the team that keep us thinking methodically and creatively.

Pros
  • Free discovery call.
  • Apply Kinesiology and Sports Science principles
Cons
  • Often booked.

Customer Reviews

I’ve been working with Scott since 2016, initially to support my body for long cycling endurance and slowly it moved to supporting my rock climbing passion! I really enjoy the specific tailored programming to my needs and have continued to see amazing improvements in overall health and happiness. He’s also really encouraging without being facetious and that’s just the small push I need to get that extra rep in.

Scott has changed the way I see movement, exercise and my body in general. He’s got that way of talking nerdy in a way that regular people can understand and apply. I’ve gotten through some pretty rough injuries that were negatively affecting me on a daily basis with Scott’s help. If you want to get past an issue with pain, movement, or just want to get to know your body better and get stronger this is your guy.

Jesse Awenus specializes in managing acute and chronic pain stemming from sports injuries as well as the aches brought on by long hours of sedentary desk work. He believes in providing his patients with the independence, confidence, and ownership in their recovery. Jesse’s background in strength and conditioning allows him to tailor his treatments to the unique needs of each individual patient. He uses a movement-based examination to figure out what might be contributing to the pain and from there may elect to incorporate hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, and/or a specific exercise routine to get his patient moving and feeling better as quickly as possible. A cornerstone of Jesse’s practice is education: he believes that each patient should leave their assessment with a clear understanding of what’s wrong and how they might fix it.

Cons
  • Detailed fee schedules are available upon request.

Customer Reviews

I found Line by way of referral from a good friend. I rarely, if at all, call an experience life changing but working with Line has been one of them. I have lived with my chronic pain for over a decade and have seen a couple physiotherapists in the past who identified the problem but none offered a way to address it, so it never occurred to me that the pain could ever go away, just ameliorated.

Line is an excellent physio! She works one on one with you for at least an hour. She has one room where she treats clients, so she does not treat more than one client at a time. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and being an athlete herself, has experience with injuries. She has a wide variety of clients which reflects her breath of expertise.

FAQs about Physiotherapist Services in Toronto

What does a physiotherapist treat?

A physiotherapist, or physical therapist, works with patients to help them manage pain, balance, mobility, and motor function. Most people at some point in their lifetime will work with a physiotherapist. You may have been referred to one after a car accident, after surgery, or to address low back pain.

How many days physiotherapy sessions will I need?

For a patient to achieve optimum benefits soon after diagnosis, most clinicians initially prescribe three visits per week. Your physical therapist will advise you as to the appropriate number of visits after your initial assessment.

When should I go to physio after injury?

Think about getting physiotherapy if you have an injury, or chronic pain that affects how you function everyday. A doctor may refer you to physiotherapy after surgery such as a hip replacement, or an event such as a heart attack or stroke.

Do you feel tired after visiting the Physiotherapist?

With deep tissue massage and release, toxins and tension are released, stimulating the body to feeling ‘relaxed’. With the posture you may have been treated in and with mobilization of joints and tissue, your blood pressure can decrease, causing a feeling of fatigue, or tiredness.

What to expect when you go to visit a Physiotherapist?

Your first appointment will start with an initial assessment. A physiotherapist will ask you many detailed questions about your pain or injury and what are your goals for treatment. Next your physiotherapist may do several physical tests to determine things such as your: Range of Motion (mobility and flexibility)

What is the difference between a physiotherapist and a physical therapist?

What are the differences, and what is it that differentiates physiotherapy from physical therapy? The answer, you may be shocked to learn, is that physical therapy and physiotherapy are exactly the same! There is, in fact, no difference between the two terms and each term can be used interchangeably

The 10 best physiotherapists in Toronto are highly skilled and experienced professionals who can help you recover from an injury, improve your mobility and relieve pain, or improve your overall health. If you’re looking for quality care, these are the therapists to see.

But if you’re looking for even more help recovering from your injuries, we recommended to consult a chiropractor in your area. This chiropractor can help align your spine and joints, improve your posture, relieve pain, which can speed up your recovery process.
